Job summary

Synthomer plc is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Jefferson Hills resin manufacturing facility to design, maintain, and improve electrical power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation interfaces supporting chemical processes.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, SHE, and Capital Projects to ensure compliance with standards while improving reliability and performance of plant electrical systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and troubleshoot medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, and distribution panels.
Support electrical safety programs including NFPA 70E, grounding, lockout/tagout, and arc flash mitigation.
Assist with troubleshooting electrical-related process issues impacting resin operations.
Lead or support capital projects involving electrical infrastructure, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
