Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence. The role supports design for industrial facilities across multiple locations in the United States, including advanced manufacturing and life sciences projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of electrical engineering design experience for industrial facilities.
• EIT certificate or PE licensure preferred.
• Experience designing building electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, and emergency power.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE codes and standards.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design documents.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute electrical engineering design for industrial projects (manufacturing, life sciences, semiconductors, etc.).
• Design electrical systems: power distribution, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and controls.
• Prepare calculations, construction documents, specs, drawings, and reports.
• Coordinate electrical designs with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, process, controls).
• Support projects through all phases from planning to closeout; conduct site visits and field investigations.
• Review designs for code compliance (NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and participate in QA/QC reviews.
