Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence team. This role can sit in multiple locations across the U.S. and supports electrical design for industrial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities include producing design documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and IEEE. A strong background in Revit/AutoCAD and client-focused collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in electrical design for industrial facilities.
• EIT certificate.
• Experience designing building electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, and emergency power.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE codes/standards.
• Experience preparing construction documents, specs, and calculations.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; other electrical design tools.
• Strong communication, organization and problem solving; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical engineering design for diverse industrial projects.
• Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and life-safety systems.
• Prepare calculations, specs, reports and construction docs.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams (MEP, process, controls).
• Participate in all project phases from planning to closeout.
• Conduct site visits and support field investigations and construction.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, IEEE and client requirements.
• Support QA/QC to uphold technical standards and delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers on scope, schedule and budget.
