Job summary

NEXPERA is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician at the Red Lion, DE plant to install, inspect, troubleshoot and maintain all plant electrical systems and instrumentation, including sensors, analyzers, pneumatic instrumentation, valves, PLCs and DCS equipment. You will work within a safety-focused team to support reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience and thorough knowledge of instrumentation / control valve troubleshooting and functionality.
• 3-5 years of instrument experience in industrial/manufacturing.
• Reading schematics and using test equipment and hand tools.
• Knowledge of basic electricity, PLC, electronics.
• Able to read process flow diagrams and control/ instrumentation diagrams.
• Able to operate with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health, safety, and compliance requirements and site standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic/electronic instrumentation and controllers.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and program DCS and PLC systems; update equipment.
• Install and maintain instrumentation, wiring and tubing; calibration tasks.
• Coordinate calibration of test/lab equipment and assist other technicians.
• Work shifts, overtime, call-outs, and shutdown/start-up activities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and external alarms; wear PPE and work in confined spaces.
• Interact with vendors/contractors to complete tasks.
