Job summary

Evonik Chester is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment across the site. The role requires hands-on work with DCS/PLC systems, calibration, and preventive maintenance in a GMP and food safety-conscious environment.

The position demands a minimum of five years in industrial I&E maintenance, formal training in instrumentation and electronics, and willingness to participate in weekend call rotations

Qualifications

Industrial maintenance experience in an industrial setting is required or highly preferred.
Formal training in Process Instrumentation & Control and Electronics is required.
Health, Safety, GMP, ISO9000/14001, and Responsible Care training are expected.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
Calibrate instrumentation and locate faults using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Install power wiring, conduit, and signal wiring for machines and control systems.
Develop and maintain spare parts inventory and support vendor training.
