Job summary

Houston City College is seeking a part-time Corporate Trainer for Industrial programs to deliver technical instruction and instructional leadership, supporting the contract's curriculum and training program.

The role requires engaging teaching methods, assessment of client needs, and adapting content for multiple sites around the city. A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, with ASE certifications encouraged, and five years in the Medium/Heavy Duty Truck or Industrial Diesel sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; professional certifications plus 5 years of work experience in the industry may be considered in lieu of the required degree.
• ASE or ASE Master Truck Certifications T1-T8 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and/or consulting to corporate clients.
• Assess training needs with Corporate Training and Development staff.
• Customize training content and format to client objectives.
• Improve instruction quality by adopting innovative methodologies and delivery methods.
• Maintain current materials and recommend adoption of updated texts and tools.
• Deliver training using texts, handouts, exercises, and assessments.
• Attend scheduled meetings with clients and staff, including Adjunct Faculty Orientation.
• Maintain accurate records: schedules, rosters, attendance, and grades.
