Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician for Morenci, AZ. You will perform removal, repair and installation of electrical components, analyze systems, and mentor others while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The role requires hands-on maintenance of AC/DC drives, PLCs, and instrumentation, with a focus on preventative maintenance and regulatory compliance. On-site housing benefits and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program or equivalent.
• Academic or practical competencies required with ability to pass written assessments and safety training.
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and equipment; ability to read manuals, prints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Removal, repair and installation of electrical components and systems; analyze and diagnose; mentor or train others.
• Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction.
• Preventative maintenance of electrical/instrumentation equipment including substations, switchgear and instrumentation.
