Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Morenci is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation technician to join our on-site maintenance team in Morenci, AZ. You will perform installation, repair, calibration and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment across a 24/7 operation.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in industrial electrical and instrumentation repair, with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read prints and schematics.

Qualifications

Completion of an approved Electronics/Electrical or Instrumentation program or related trade training.
4+ years in industrial electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance.
Ability to read and use technical manuals, prints and schematics for trouble shooting.

Responsibilities

Removal, repair and installation of electrical components and systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on industrial electrical/instrumentation equipment.
Troubleshoot AC/DC drives, PLCs, SCADA, and related control systems.
Follow SOPs, work safely, and mentor other workers as needed.
