Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation professional at the Morenci copper operation in Arizona. The role involves removal, repair and installation of electrical components, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across substations, switchgear, and control systems.

The job requires reading technical manuals, strong communication, and the ability to work in a 24/7 operation. On-site housing allowance and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance.
• Associate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field and two (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, systems; analysis and diagnosis; advanced troubleshooting and optimization; may mentor others.
• Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction.
• Perform preventative maintenance including installation, repair and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
