Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a skilled electrical/instrumentation worker for our Morenci operation, located about 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona. You will remove, repair and install electrical components and troubleshoot systems in a mining/plant environment.

The role requires an approved electronics/controls program or 2+ years of experience, with on-site safety and operation procedures. A toolbox of personal tools and the ability to work rotating shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved certified electronics, electrical and/or instrumentation program or minimum of two (2) years of experience.
• Basic experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment.
• Must have minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must demonstrate aptitude and safety knowledge through required assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installation and repair of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
