Job summary

Fluid Engineering, a Birmingham-based industrial equipment specialist, is seeking an Industrial Customer Service Representative. This hands-on role connects customers with outside sales engineers, applications engineers, and manufacturers to turn quotes into orders and track lead times.

You will help customers navigate urgent downtime, coordinate shipments, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly when answers are needed fast.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in customer service or related role in an industrial/B2B environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and organize information from quotes, POs, data sheets and drawings.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems like ERP/CRM.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and quotes, track lead times, and manage order status.
• Coordinate with outside sales, applications engineers, and manufacturers.
• Maintain accurate customer records and communication notes.
• Assist customers during urgent downtime, expedited orders, and downtime-related requests.
