Airgas, a leader in industrial, medical and safety gases, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative in San Diego, CA. This on-site role focuses on high-energy customer interaction, advising on tools and materials, and supporting branch operations.

You will handle order entry, pricing, and deposits while maintaining a positive showroom and accurate paperwork. Benefits include comprehensive medical plans and a strong 401(k) program, with full-time hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in product, warehouse, or sales environments.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Advising customers on tools, hardware, and materials.
• Handle order entry and transactions; reconcile deposits.
• Coordinate with customers and team via phone, email, and in person.
• Maintain welcoming showroom displays and stock shelves.
• Ensure paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Maintain safety and PPE adherence.
