Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Controls Technician (ICT) to maintain production equipment and support engineering and maintenance teams.

The ICT will work with AB PLCs, HMIs, robotic systems, sensors, and networked devices, applying safe work practices and contributing to plant reliability. Ideal candidates have hands-on PLC programming experience, familiarity with AutoCAD and RSLogix/Studio 5000, and a strong ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic controls.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in Industrial Controls Technician role with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience repairing and maintaining production equipment and complex electronic controls.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and safe work practices.
• Must be able to program PLCs and read/modify PLC logic.

Responsibilities

• Repair and adjust complex control systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and electromechanical systems; implement fixes.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and vendors on projects.
• Ensure software is up-to-date and backups are maintained.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and CAD schematics.
