Job summary

Matalco is seeking a Controls Technician to ensure plant automation operates reliably and maintenance issues are resolved quickly. The role requires strong PLC, HMI, and SCADA knowledge, with the ability to work overtime and on-call shifts.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of programming experience, familiarity with Allen-Bradley 5000 series PLCs, and a background in electrical/mechanical systems. Attention to detail and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 yrs programming knowledge; Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable programs.
• Willing to work overtime, answer calls and work on other shifts as necessary.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI and SCADA systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation programs, systems and processes.
• Develop, maintain and report key indicators and metrics.
• Apply safety rules and PPE compliance.
• Respond to and resolve breakdowns or non-conforming machine performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
