Job summary

Saft is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to maintain and repair production equipment at our NC facility. You will work with engineering and maintenance to install and troubleshoot automatic controls, AB PLCs, HMIs, robots, and camera systems while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires experience with electrical and electronic controls, programming, and calibration, plus the ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial controls experience preferred.
• Hands-on repair, calibration and programming of PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and electromechanical systems.
• Repair and calibrate production equipment and controls.
• Back up machine programs and manage control databases.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance on projects.
• Read schematics and use test equipment for diagnostics.
• Install and upgrade control components with vendors as needed.
