Job summary

fairlife, LLC in Webster, NY is seeking a Plant Instrument Controls Technician (ICT) to maintain and improve instrument and control systems across packaging, processing, and utilities. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and follows a rotating 12-hour night schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with a 2-2-3 pattern, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of maintenance experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with PLCs: Allen Bradley Miclogix/Micro800, CompactLogix & ControlLogix, Siemens Step 7.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA programming and configuration.
• Experience with EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet, ProfiBus, ASi networks and enterprise faults.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 languages (ladder, structured text, etc.).
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain instruments, controls, and process networks across manufacturing.
• Collaborate with team to plan, analyze and control process quality.
• Inspect and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment with test tools and schematics.
• Install/replace instrumentation devices (flow, temp, pressure) and program parameters.
• Monitor and optimize control systems; ensure rapid fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate start-ups and training with contractors and integrators.
