Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Springdale, AR seeks an Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance Team. You will troubleshoot, repair and improve in-house controls and PLCs, and support TPM initiatives on a range of CNC and automation equipment.

The role requires reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints, PLC and CNC knowledge, and the ability to work safely under EHS guidelines. On-site shifts with occasional emergency call-ins are expected.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or journeyman program in related field preferred.
• CNC experience; PLC controls experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain awareness of the maintenance budget and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and improve in-house controls and PLCs; contribute to preventative maintenance.
• Serve as back-up Company electrician for building and grounds; perform preventative, proactive maintenance.
• Develop new PLC programming for small projects and troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical systems.
• Adjust, calibrate, and modify circuitry and components; record effects on unit performance.
• Lead TPM activities and preventative maintenance; write manuals and procedures for equipment operation.
• Communicate with customer and sales to develop job strategy and product applications.
• Maintain and repair CNC equipment; monitor newly installed equipment; train others.
• Be flexible to return to the plant on days off in maintenance emergencies.
