Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Crystal Springs, MS is seeking a Controls Technician to perform maintenance tasks in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will support the maintenance team, input work orders in SAP/Tofino, and help improve equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of mechanical/electrical experience or an associates/technical degree, plus basic computer skills and the ability to read blueprints. Safety-minded teamwork and willingness to learn Excel/Word are essential.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 3 years mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial setting; or an associate/technical degree.
• Ability to read blueprints and simple schematics.
• Lean manufacturing experience (4Q, JIDOKA, 6S).
• Hands-on with SAP / Tofino and basic data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Commit to work order completion and entry into Tofino/SAP daily.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Tofino schedule for work order execution and deadlines.
• Report downtime concerns to Lead technician verbally.
• Submit parts & tool requirements into inventory system.
• Assist Planner Scheduler with work assignments and parts.
• Follow policies and maintain safety standards.
• Operate with limited supervision and maintain accurate records.
