Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Controls Technician for its Crystal Springs, MS location. You will perform facility maintenance duties in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, handling routine work orders, data entry in SAP, and collaboration with the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability.

You should have at least three years of mechanical/electrical experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED equivalent.
• Three years mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial setting; or an Associates or technical degree.
• Basic computer skills, SAP welding experience.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment, including cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and simple schematics.
• Experience in lean manufacturing including 4Q, JIDOKA, 6S, etc.
• Candidate must already have work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in Tofino/SAP daily.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Planner Scheduler to ensure timely work order execution.
• Report downtime concerns to the Lead Technician.
• Submit parts and tool requirements via requisitions or inventory system.
• Assist in communicating assignments and parts to complete.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to a safe, efficient maintenance team.
