ARCO/Murray National Construction seeks an Industrial Controls Project Manager to lead complex projects in Chicago, IL. You will guide controls design, installation, and commissioning from start to finish, coordinating with clients and design teams to deliver integrated systems.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial controls, strong PLC/SCADA knowledge, and hands-on field experience on 25–40% site time. Your leadership will drive safety, quality, and project success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial controls experience.
• Strong control system architecture knowledge (PLC/HMI/SCADA, instrumentation, panels, networks).
• Experience with Ignition SCADA platform configuration and integration with PLCs.
• Siemens and/or Beckhoff PLC programming and field integration experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Understanding of HVAC/thermodynamics/process engineering.
• Willingness to travel 25–40% to job sites.
• Familiar with construction practices and principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, including controls design, buyout, installation, and commissioning.
• Oversee PLC and HMI/SCADA programming, testing strategies, graphics coordination, and field integration.
• Review control narratives, drawings, submittals, and as‑built docs for accuracy and scope.
• Support equipment and controls buyout, including instrumentation selection and vendor evaluations.
• Direct field installation activities for low-voltage controls, wiring, and panel installation.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to deliver integrated ARCO models on complex projects.
• Contribute to growing ARCO’s self-perform controls services and troubleshoot issues end-to-end.
