Job summary

Reworld Waste in Delaware County, PA is seeking an Instrument & Controls Technician to manage electrical and control equipment across the plant, perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, and troubleshoot DCS, PLCs, VFDs, and related instrumentation.

You will calibrate sensors, install new equipment, update maintenance work orders, and support safety standards while being on-call and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with electronic/electrical and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and Distributive Control Systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and controls and understand process interactions.
• Ability to calibrate pressure, flow, and temperature instrumentation (Rosemount).
• Proficient with multimeters and smart calibrators.
• Ability to read electrical prints & P&IDs.
• Troubleshoot Omron and Allen Bradley PLC hardware and logic.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the instrument and control test, calibration and repair areas and all equipment and tools assigned.
• Help redesign instrumentation, control and electrical systems as required.
• Monitor burning, as appropriate.
• Perform general work to ensure safe, clean and efficient operation of the facility.
• Perform other duties as required.
