Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks an experienced industrial controls engineer for its Engineering Test Center in Hollywood, AL. You design, develop, and integrate complex control systems, supporting rapid prototyping and detailed hardware development with a multidisciplinary team.

The candidate will have Rockwell PLC programming experience, Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk skills, and a STEM degree with 5 years of relevant work. U.S. citizenship and Secret Clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required and eligibility for Secret Clearance
• ABET-accredited STEM degree (Mechanical/Electrical) with 5 years of relevant experience
• Motor control center design, layout, integration, and test
• LV to MV VFD/PLC integration
• Proficiency in Rockwell Automation PLC programming
• Experience with Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk software
• Testing and debugging of PLC control systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex control systems for customers
• Support rapid prototyping and detailed hardware development
• Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts across control system design and testing
