Job summary

Verto People is seeking a skilled Control Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of industrial control systems across water treatment facilities in Milwaukee. The role involves working with electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls to ensure reliable operations.

The position covers programming, data logging, and instrument diagnostics, with opportunities to contribute to preventative maintenance, system improvements, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree preferred in Instrument Technology, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul control and instrumentation systems.
• Support electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic instruments used to measure and control variables.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules and maintain records.
• Troubleshoot and repair local and remote control systems (HVAC, gas turbines, boilers, air compressors, generators, valves).
• Program and adjust programmable data loggers and controllers.
• Read and interpret process and instrument diagrams.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and assist external service engineers.
