Job summary

HDR is seeking a Control Systems EIT in the United States (Tampa, FL) to support planning, design, and implementation of automated industrial control systems across multiple sectors. You will work with a Senior Control Systems Engineer to create biddable docs and evaluate equipment, contributing to high-quality, technically excellent control system designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, computer engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of complex supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Assist with selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
• Assist with development of biddable and technically accurate instrumentation and control system construction documents.
• Assist with the development of software applications for automation such as PLC and HMI.
• Assist with system testing and commissioning activities.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.

Education

Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
