Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on large industrial projects from Lubbock, TX. This contract-to-hire role demands hands-on site leadership, safety focus, and coordination with multi‑discipline teams to meet timelines and quality standards.

The position requires managing subcontractors, schedules, and budgets while traveling nationwide to active jobsites. Strong communication and field mentorship are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years industrial construction experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent.
• Experience with cold storage, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or other industrial facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and shop drawings.
• Experience with CPM scheduling, with Microsoft Project experience preferred.
• Strong safety mindset with the ability to lead by example on active jobsites.
• Excellent communication skills with project teams, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
• Willingness to travel nationally for extended durations.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations from startup to closeout on large industrial projects.
• Ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors and coordination with trades.
• Develop and update project schedules with critical path milestones.
• Oversee material procurement and delivery.
• Coordinate daily field activities across multiple trades.
• Collaborate with PMs, owners, architects, engineers, and partners to resolve issues.
• Implement and enforce safety programs on active sites.
• Monitor quality control and adherence to specs.
• Review drawings, contracts, and shop drawings to guide work.
• Mentor field personnel and maintain client relationships.
• Track budgets related to field operations.
• Lead onsite coordination meetings.
• Identify risks and implement proactive solutions.
• Travel to project locations nationwide.
