Job summary

Constructable seeks a Traveling General Superintendent to lead remote industrial construction projects across the United States. You will mentor Field Superintendents, oversee multiple sites, and drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence while upholding core values.

You will coordinate field and office operations, manage resources, and report to project leadership. Willingness to travel and lead teams in challenging environments is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 10 years in industrial construction, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing multiple projects.
• Must be willing to travel and work in remote locations.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams in high-pressure environments.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
• Proficiency in construction software (ProjectSight, MS Project) and familiarity with design-build project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field operations across multiple industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and Constructable’s quality standards.
• Provide leadership, direction, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing field team.
• Conduct performance reviews and proactively address employee relations matters in coordination with HR and leadership.
• Ensure all field employees complete required training; provide support and clarification on training content as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all field-related challenges, working closely with Project Managers and site teams to drive timely resolutions.
• Enforce safety standards and protocols, collaborating with the Director of Safety and Quality to meet compliance and KPIs.
• Conduct regular safety and quality audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Coordinate allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials across sites to optimize productivity.
• Serve as the primary liaison between field and office staff and facilitate weekly operations meetings.
• Promote collaboration between field and office teams and drive continuous improvement in methods and tools.
