Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead on-site construction efforts from install through start of production. You will supervise trade contractors, coordinate with Project Management, Infrastructure and Procurement, and ensure schedule and budget adherence for accelerated projects.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial construction, a degree in Engineering or Construction Management (MS preferred), and hands-on experience with control systems in high-tech facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience on industrial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or construction management or related field; MS preferred.
• Experience designing, building, and starting up control systems for large industrial construction projects in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors or equivalent high tech facilities.
• Technical understanding of MEP projects: Electrical, Mechanical and plumbing/process piping.
• Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field.
• Flexibility to handle and manage change effectively.
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design and engineering effort for construction and infrastructure development from concept to production to meet company’s aggressive goals.
• Dive deep to understand requirements and translate them into project scope with clear execution plan and responsibilities.
• Manage all aspects of technical planning, scope development, change management, programming, design, and engineering services during construction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams for program alignment.
• Synthesize and own report-outs, highlighting status, risks, mitigations and opportunities across all levels of management.
• Track and understand all project costs, challenging design revisions, RFIs and change orders to ensure value.
