Job summary

Bodell Construction, an Aecon Company, is seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Industrial) to lead complex industrial projects across the U.S. You will oversee execution from pre-construction through commissioning, coordinating civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation scopes while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role requires travel to project sites, collaboration with diverse teams, and a focus on delivering outcomes that meet client expectations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction experience, including large-scale industrial projects.
• Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary scopes (civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation).
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of heavy industrial construction projects from brownfield to greenfield.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize self-perform capabilities.
• Manage project operations in active facilities with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with construction managers, superintendents, controls, procurement, engineering, quality, safety, and commissioning.
• Drive planning initiatives including constructability reviews and turnover planning.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and quality practices.
• Monitor labour productivity, equipment utilization, subcontractor performance, and project financials.
• Lead mitigation and recovery plans for risks, changes, or schedule impacts.
• Support client relationship management and proposal development as needed.
