Job summary

Bodell Construction, an Aecon Company, seeks an experienced Civil/Concrete Superintendent to lead field teams on large-scale industrial projects across the US. You will oversee civil and concrete work from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality compliance.

This role requires travel to project sites nationwide, with daily leadership of crews, coordination with subcontractors, and close collaboration with project management to deliver complex

Qualifications

• Experience leading civil and concrete construction teams in industrial settings.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, RFIs, and manage field staffing.
• Strong emphasis on safety, scheduling, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct field leadership for civil and concrete construction activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily and weekly work activities for craft crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work areas to maintain productivity and project schedule.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and project requirements with field leadership before work begins.
• Ensure crews understand scope, sequencing, production expectations, and quality requirements.
• Lead look-ahead planning and identify upcoming manpower, equipment, material, access, and coordination needs.
• Monitor field productivity and adjust resources or work sequencing when necessary.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure work is ready before concrete placements and other critical activities.
• Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, quantities, equipment, progress, delays, and significant field conditions.
