Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Construction Manager for our Front Royal facility in Virginia. You will lead on-site construction teams and coordinate with project leaders to execute capital projects and major maintenance in a large-scale manufacturing setting.

You will promote a safety-first culture, manage contractors, review changes, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget. Strong leadership and field construction experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 10+ years industrial construction experience with capital projects or major maintenance.
• 5+ years of people management and leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety programs and permitting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction team including mechanical and electrical crews.
• Coordinate activities with Project Team Leads to meet timelines.
• Oversee capital projects and equipment installations.
• Promote Goal Zero safety culture and ensure permits compliance.
• Review change orders and support cost management.
• Ensure proper labor charging and resource allocation.
• Coach and develop team members; monitor performance.
• Minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations; engage stakeholders.
