Turner Mining Group is seeking a Project Lead for Front Royal, VA, overseeing site development and underground utilities. The role combines leadership of multiple crews with hands-on equipment operation when required and accountability for budgets, schedules, and safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and inspectors, driving production metrics in HeavyJob, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards on a demanding civil site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in site development and underground utility construction.
• 2–3 years of leadership running complete civil projects and directing multiple crews.
• OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Trench & Excavation Competent Person Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Multi-crew leadership: schedule, direct, and mentor multiple field crews across site prep, bulk earthmoving, and underground utility installations.
• Budget & schedule accountability: manage daily project costs and schedules, optimize labor and machine utilization, and track production.
• Subcontractor & inspector coordination: coordinate workflows and secure project sign-offs with municipal inspectors.
• Hands-on field operations: lead from the front by operating heavy equipment when needed.
• Safety & daily reporting: enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain site compliance.
