Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking an Industrial Construction Estimator to support cost estimating, bid preparation, and proposal development for industrial and oil & gas projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with engineering and field teams from RFP review through project handoff.

Responsibilities include developing Excel-based estimating worksheets, obtaining subcontractor quotes, and identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of experience in construction estimating, industrial construction, or related field activities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, cost calculations, and estimating worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, rentals, general conditions, and indirect costs.
• Review RFPs, RFQs, drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and schedules.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, material takeoffs, and BOMs.
• Develop Excel estimating worksheets with unit pricing, productivity, and equipment costs.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotations and evaluate pricing and delivery timelines.
• Prepare customer proposals detailing scope, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
