Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in the Baltimore, MD area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) with hands-on trade experience to support industrial construction projects. The role connects field activity with schedules, budgets, and documentation.

You will assist with coordinating work, scheduling, cost tracking, change orders, and submittals, collaborating with field supervisors and subcontractors to keep scope, schedule, and budget aligned.

Qualifications

• Hands-on trade experience in industrial construction , particularly in mechanical construction, piping, or structural steel.
• Experience as a foreman, field supervisor, construction planner, project coordinator, or project controls professional is valuable.
• Prior transition from field work into construction project management, or demonstrated readiness to make that transition.
• Practical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, jobsite operations, and field coordination.
• Experience supporting construction scheduling, cost tracking, project documentation, or change orders.
• Strong organization, communication, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with industrial construction project coordination, supporting project managers and field teams.
• Support construction scheduling, progress tracking, and coordination of labor, materials, and project activities.
• Assist with cost tracking, budget updates, and review of change orders.
• Help organize project documentation, submittals, and progress reports.
• Work with field supervisors, trades, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to identify issues and support practical solutions.
• Apply firsthand construction knowledge to help keep project scope, schedule, and budget aligned.
