Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking Project Engineers for industrial mechanical construction projects in the Baltimore region. The role supports from estimating through field execution and completion, with opportunities at both senior and entry levels.

Responsibilities cover coordination with project and operations leadership, planning, procurement, RFIs/submittals, and site visits to ensure schedules and budgets are met. Travel and field work are expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial construction, project engineering or PM.
• Experience with industrial mechanical construction environments.
• Knowledge of process piping, rotating equipment, structural supports and related systems.
• Experience with drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Estimating, scheduling and cost-control experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with project, operations and field leadership.
• Support multiple projects from planning through completion.
• Assist with project buyout, material procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Track material deliveries and align with schedules.
• Review specifications, drawings and technical requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, approvals and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and assigned budgets.
• Assist with owner and subcontractor payments applications.
• Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Develop and execute construction plans with field supervision.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and requirements.
• Communicate schedules and needs to leadership and clients.
• Assist with estimating new projects and subcontractor pricing.
• Evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes and prepare proposals.
