Job summary

ZACHRY Group in Alvin, TX is seeking a Combo Welder to weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters, electricians, millwrights and ironworkers in installing equipment and supports for industrial systems. Responsibilities include selecting layouts, aligning and welding with various processes, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety.

The position requires 4+ years of industrial welding experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a weld test.
• Must have 4+ years of industrial welding experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints and other engineering drawings.
• Must have experience welding multiple types of material including carbon steel, stainless, aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
• Layout, position, aligns, cut, assemble, and fit metal components.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas arc welding.
• Welds metal materials to piping systems equipment using appropriate welding procedures.
• Identify all equipment for job and process.
• Identify all safety risks and requirements.
