Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Combination Welder to weld, fabricate, and assist pipe fitters in installing industrial pipe, supports, racks, and related materials on project piping systems. The role requires reading blueprints, performing welding in multiple positions, and maintaining safety standards on site.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of welding experience, the ability to weld in 2G/4G/6G, and certification with Zachry or the ability to pass a weld test.

Qualifications

• 4+ years welding experience on industrial pipe (Schedules 40/80/160).
• Ability to weld in 2G, 4G, and 6G positions.
• Current welding certification with Zachry or pass a weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Meet all physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, fit metal components.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or arc-gas welding.
• Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using proper procedures.
• Identify all equipment for job and process.
• Identify safety risks and requirements.
