Job summary

ZACHRY is seeking a Combination Welder to weld, fabricate, and assist pipe fitters in installing industrial piping systems on project sites. The role requires supporting fitters, rigging, and knowledge of process piping.

Responsibilities include selecting equipment, planning layouts, and welding using various processes, while reading blueprints and technical manuals to ensure quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.
• Must be able to Stick and TIG weld on Pipe.
• Must have current welding certification or pass a weld test.
• Must have 4+ years welding experience and read blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Must read technical manuals and interpret them.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly and welding using knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components in various positions.
• Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or arc gas welding equipment.
• Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using proper procedures.
• Identify all equipment and safety risks involved.
