Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Cleaning Operator based in Michigan to remove industrial waste at customer facilities using vacuum trucks, high-pressure water equipment, and related gear.

In this role you will also load and off-load trucks at our facility, assist with waste bulking, receiving and transferring, and respond to spills or emergencies while ensuring safety through DOT inspections and proper logs.

Qualifications

• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Ability to operate light and heavy equipment for cleanup and related tasks.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operates light and heavy equipment relating to cleanup, including tanker, roll-off, liquid and turbo vacuums, box trucks, and sewer cleaners.
• Responds to customer spills and emergencies.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections.
• Maintains vehicle logs.
• Performs general housekeeping, including maintenance of equipment and site.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
