Job summary

Bodell Construction, an Aecon Company, is seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Industrial) to lead large-scale industrial construction projects across the US.

You will oversee execution from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met with a strong focus on self-perform capabilities and collaboration across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction experience on large industrial projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary scopes including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and/or instrumentation construction.
• Experience with significant self-perform construction content.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, change management, and risk management.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of heavy industrial construction projects from brownfield to greenfield expansions and upgrades.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation scopes.
• Develop and implement execution strategies to maximize self-perform construction and productivity.
• Manage project operations within active industrial facilities while minimizing disruption to client operations.
• Collaborate with project teams including construction managers, superintendents, controls, procurement, engineering, quality, safety, and commissioning.
• Drive planning activities such as constructability reviews, turnover planning, and commissioning readiness.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, environmental obligations, and quality requirements.
• Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, subcontractor performance, and project financials.
• Lead mitigation and recovery plans for risks, productivity challenges, or schedule impacts.
• Support client relationship management and proposal development as needed.
