Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client in Conroe, TX is seeking a Building Engineer to join the Engineering and Technical Services team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on facility systems and support operations on-site.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and a proactive attitude, with on-call availability and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. This contract role offers potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma.
• Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems within the facility.
• Ensure all building systems operate efficiently and meet safety standards.
• Conduct inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems to verify proper operation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan.
• Respond to emergency repairs and support safety protocols on-site.
