Job summary

Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC is hiring a hands-on operator to help turn raw materials into precision diamond blades. You’ll join a team focused on grinding, finishing, and quality control, with a 2nd shift schedule.

You’ll lift up to 50 lbs, stand on concrete, and follow PPE and safety rules while maintaining throughput and accuracy across stations. Opportunities for growth and benefits are available from day one.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and machine segments to support precise radius grinding and OD grinding.
• Prepare cores by washing, sandblasting, and polishing.
• Assist with fixture loading on manual lasers to enable accurate processing.
• Move blades and materials between stations to sustain flow and throughput.
• Load, sharpen, mark, and mask blades for finishing.
• Hang and remove blades on the paint line.
• Follow OSHA/EPA regulations and all safety policies.
• Quality checks and data documentation with QC.

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Your impact

From the first loaded segment to the final finish, you’ll be the connective force across grinding, brazing, and finishing operations—keeping production aligned with exacting standards.

Core responsibilities

• Load and machine segments to support precise radius grinding and OD grinding.

Quality, tooling, and equipment care

• Select and organize correct tooling for each job.
• Clean and maintain equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform visual quality checks and document completion data.
• Partner with Quality Control to meet inspection criteria without compromise.

What you’ll need to succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Facility with basic math and the metric system.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Comfort standing and walking on concrete floors through full shifts.
• Consistent use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
