Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to construct, assemble, maintain, and repair steam boilers and boiler house components on-site. You will inspect, align, and fit metal parts per blueprints, and collaborate with crane operators for heavy lifts.

The role requires hands-on fabrication and maintaining safety standards. Applicants must have 3–5 years journeyman experience, a valid TWIC card, a driver’s license, and be able to work in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience (3–5 years).
• Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.
• Fire Retardant Clothing provided by the new hire.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with safety-focused procedures.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects for repair.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts.
• Inspect vessels or components for defects.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts.
• Attach rigging and signal crane or hoist operators for lifting.
• Bell, bead with power hammers, or weld tube ends for leakproof joints.
• Lay out plate or heavy metal and mark cutting lines.
• Install manholes, taps, valves, gauges, or connections in boilers.
• Study blueprints to determine locations and dimensions.
• Manage safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
