Job summary

Reworld Waste seeks a Back Plant Operator to ensure safe, efficient operation of the back ash area and associated equipment within our industrial disposal process. You will perform inspections, monitor conveyors and machinery, and assist with preventive maintenance under supervision.

Ideal candidates have experience operating heavy industrial equipment, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a rotating shift environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on conveyors, belts, rollers and related systems.
• Strong safety mindset with teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walkdowns of back ash area inspecting equipment for defects.
• Monitor equipment performance including speeds, alignment and cleanliness.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with repairs.
• Participate in daily kickoff meetings with maintenance team.
• Support scheduled system shutdowns for safe repairs.
• Operate industrial equipment as needed with training.
• Document equipment status using work orders and checklists.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures during maintenance.
