Job summary

Toyo Tires in Georgia is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain PLC-controlled equipment, troubleshoot control systems, and implement improvements to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

You will work with Maintenance, Production, Engineering and IT/OT, provide hands-on troubleshooting, develop automation capability, and document work in CMMS; candidates should have experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and industrial networks.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of HMIs, networking, and motion control.
• Familiarity with robotics and automated material-handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment during production failures.
• Diagnose electrical, controls, networking, and instrumentation issues.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance for automation systems.
• Support equipment reliability and root-cause analysis for automation failures.
• Provide hands-on PLC troubleshooting training to Maintenance Technicians.
