Job summary

Nokian Tyres is seeking an Automation Engineer to support advanced automation and controls in a manufacturing setting in Dayton, TN. You will troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, HMIs, drives, robotics, sensors, and safety systems to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include downtime analysis, root cause investigation, and collaboration with Maintenance, Production, Quality, Engineering, IT/OT, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or related field plus practical automation experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, robotics and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of production processes, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation and controls support to improve safety, reliability, quality, throughput and equipment effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot, repair and improve automated equipment including PLCs, HMIs, drives and robotics.
• Analyze downtime and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
