Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our ControlTech Automation team in Missouri. You will support capital projects and help deliver high-quality electrical solutions for leading manufacturers.

You will validate engineered solutions, collect design/build packages, and coordinate between operations, engineering and manufacturing while liaising with clients. Regional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related industrial automation fabrication experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design, fabrication and troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Reports to Engineering Manager.
• Allen-Bradley hardware & networks experience is a plus.
• Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Validate engineered solutions.
• Collect full design and build packages.
• Serve as liaison between Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Schedule and run engineering and manufacturing handoff meetings.
• Create Bills of Materials for non-engineered solutions.
• Interface with clients and distributor reps.
• Research alternative electrical components to optimize delivery, design and cost.
• Assist in designing custom Industrial Control Panels per criteria.
