Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support capital projects, validate engineered solutions, and help deliver high-quality control systems for our clients. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure accurate handoffs and smooth project execution.

The role requires a proactive problem-solver with hands-on experience in industrial automation and familiarity with Allen-Bradley hardware.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related industrial automation fabrication experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for design, fabrication and troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Validate engineered solutions for capital projects.
• Collect entire design packages and build packages.
• Act as liaison between Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Schedule and execute engineering and manufacturing handoff meetings.
• Create Bills of Materials for non-engineered solutions.
• Interface with client and distributor representatives.
• Research alternate electrical components to optimize delivery, design and cost.
• Assist in designing custom Industrial Control Panels based on specified criteria.
