Job summary

Kirby Risk is seeking an On-Site Rockwell Automation Specialist to join our Lafayette, Indiana team. You will collaborate with customers and sales professionals to identify opportunities, advise on Rockwell Software, I/O, and HMI solutions, and support implementations on the plant floor.

You will build strong customer relationships, troubleshoot effectively, and stay current with automation trends while traveling across the Central Indiana market.

Qualifications

• Degree in EE/EET/MET or related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of Industrial Controls and industrial automation systems.
• Experience with or exposure to Rockwell Automation Software & Control, I/O, and HMI platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments, industrial equipment, and plant floor operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build credibility and trust with customers and teammates.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Desire to continuously learn and expand technical expertise within the automation industry.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers and sales teams to understand operational challenges and recommend effective automation solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation related to Industrial Controls and automation applications.
• Support customers with solutions involving Rockwell Automation Software & Control, I/O, and HMI technologies.
• Assist customers with the selection, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions.
• Support Industrial IoT and connected manufacturing initiatives designed to improve efficiency and data visibility.
• Deliver product education, training, and technical guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
