Connectly Recruiting seeks a Sales Manager for Industrial & Automation in Raleigh, NC. You will lead growth strategy across markets, engage top-tier customers, and drive revenue through new business and repeat accounts.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, strong product knowledge, and a track record in industrial automation sales. Travel about 50% is required, supporting diverse industries including HVACR, food & beverage, and logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; BSEE strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years selling industrial automation components (VFD, PLC, HMI, motors, servo systems).
• Direct calling sales experience preferred over go-through reps.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage new top-tier customer segments with strong relationships at commercial and engineering levels.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, including executive discussions; spend significant time cold calling new prospects.
• Maintain knowledge of customer product roadmaps to uncover future opportunities.
• Partner with product management to promote new industrial automation technologies and applications.
• Secure sales revenue growth with at least 5% year-over-year, developing new opportunities in target industries.
• Ensure on-time delivery of customer solutions and meet business objectives; provide accurate forecasts and CRM reports.
