Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking an Industrial Sales Engineer in Alaska to promote the Industrial controls division and expand the customer base. You will estimate, quote, negotiate, and sell automation projects across design-build and plan-spec jobs, with base salary plus commission.

The role requires extensive knowledge of industrial automation, PLC/SCADA systems, and Rockwell Automation products, with a track record of achieving sales targets. Travel within Alaska is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in industrial automation, preferably in a sales or customer-facing role supporting PLC/SCADA systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA and instrumentation.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen‑Bradley) and Studio 5000/FactoryTalk.
• Ability to travel within Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned territory with building owners, end-users, engineers, and contractors.
• Develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
• Explain technical aspects of products to ensure customer understanding.
• Prepare accurate sales activity reports and forecasts.
• Serve as subject matter expert on industrial automation solutions.
